Are you ready to shape the future of global supply chain operations? As Trade Lane Manager Americas, you will secure the most efficient inbound transport setup for the Americas region, leveraging all transport modes (air, ocean, rail, road, express). You’ll collaborate closely with local shipping and receiving units, challenge existing processes constructively, and lead initiatives that deliver customer value.

 

This role combines regional responsibilities with global ownership of suppliers and projects, offering a unique opportunity to influence and innovate across cultures without formal authority.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Design and optimize inbound trade lane transport setups for the Americas region across all modes.
  • Act as global logistics supplier and contract owner: lead negotiations, rate reviews, and explore new solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and geopolitical developments; manage contingency plans for assigned trade lanes.
  • Drive and support global/regional tenders and sustainability initiatives to reduce transport emissions.
  • Manage supplier relationships, business reviews, and improvement plans.
  • Maintain master data for lanes, lead times, rates, volumes, and SCAC codes.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Solid knowledge of transport/logistics management and procurement.
  • Strong negotiation and contractual skills; ability to apply TCO principles.
  • Leadership skills to influence without formal authority.
  • Excellent communication and cultural awareness; stakeholder management at all levels.
  • Proactive and results-driven; capable of leading global/regional tenders and projects.
  • Analytical mindset; experience with large datasets and tools like Power BI is a plus.
  • Languages: Fluent English and Spanish; Portuguese is an advantage.
  • University degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
