JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Position Title:       Assistant Manager Reliability Sales – Services, IM (India Region)

Reports To:               Lead Connected Technology & Reliability – India

Role Type:                Individual Contribution 

Location:                   Pune / Delhi / Kolkata

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Drive reliability-focused service sales across process-critical segments by developing and delivering Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)-based proposals. Champion solution-oriented selling while representing the integrated SKF portfolio, ensuring recurring business growth and long-term customer partnerships.

 

Key Responsibilities

Conceptualize, customize, and implement comprehensive TCO-based proposals to secure recurring business.

Adopt a consultative, solution-driven sales approach while representing the SKF portfolio.

Develop integrated proposals combining products from multiple SKF platforms with reliability and consultancy services.

Focus on long-term performance contracts, including opportunity funnel creation, risk assessment, KPI matrix development, and commercial closure.

Identify and collaborate with partners to deliver end-to-end asset management service offerings.

Integrate SKF’s portfolio to commit & deliver performance-based KPIs to end-users.

 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BE/B-Tech) in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation

 

Experience & Attributes

4 – 8 years of experience in service & solution sales, with exposure to industrial markets, digitalization, and automation.

Proven expertise in performance-based contracts, consultative selling, and key account management.

Demonstrated ability to engage with senior management at customer organizations.

 

Key Interfaces

External: Customers (particularly senior management), vendors, and partners.

Internal: Segment sales teams, service delivery, project management, marketing, legal, finance & controlling, and the global SKF organization.

 

Core Competencies

Strong background in industrial sales.

Proficiency in new business model development.

Fundamental knowledge of business finance.

Familiarity with SKF product portfolio (preferred).

Basic understanding of maintenance processes.

Funnel management, sales & forecasting.

Excellent communication skills (English fluency).
