JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Business Development Specialist – Metals Aftermarket
Reports To: Head Services BD
Role Type: Individual Contribution
Location: Pune / Gurgaon / Kolkata / Bangalore
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to expand SKF's long-term services portfolio for existing and new customers in the long-product steel industry.
Work with metals (Segment and Distribution) organizations to conceptualize, customize, and roll out value propositions.
Build a strong long-term relationship with key customers and act as a consultant to understand customer needs, challenges, and goals.
Perform plant assessment and lead the team in technical discussion of asset/plant reliability.
Design and promote value-added services tailored to the unique needs of long-product steel customers combining products/solutions across all SKF platforms.
Use the SKF services portfolio to optimize customer experience and satisfaction.
Work closely with the front-line team to develop an opportunity funnel.
Skill Set
Experience in industrial sales
Data analytics and business models
Basics of business finance
Exposure to SKF services portfolio
Understanding of the maintenance process of the steel industry
Ownership and working in team
KPIs
Plant-wide performance contract assessments
Opportunity pipeline to achieve BP
Education & Experience
Experience and understanding of the metal industry, machine tooling industries
Minimum 3 years of experience in solution selling / consultative sales.
Proven experience in performance-based contracts, consultative sales & key account management
Experience in discussing with middle/top management in customer organization
