JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Controller ISEA
Reports To: Seals Global Sales Controller
Role Type: Individual Contributor
Location: Pune/Bangalore
- Purpose of the role:
- To provide management control over capital employed and cost of doing business as well as on pricing activities, monitoring they are in line with plans and recommend for corrective actions whenever performance is not in line with expected profitability; be able to undertake Commercial & Financial evaluation of all Business Unit Issues and provide adequate Financial / Commercial support to the Business Unit Head for steering the Business Unit towards the achievement of stated short term and long term goals.
- Responsibilities
- Finance speaking partner for the business unit
- Provide strategic & tactical finance support to business unit and company management to make correct up-to-date business decisions;
- Translate defined strategies into financial planning;
- Keep the management team updated on accounts status and profit implications;
- Handle SKF internal financial reporting, KPI setting and monitoring;
- Coordinate business plan & rolling forecast process and prepare the reporting package;
- Monitoring and review of Accounts Receivables with ways like setting Credit Limit, credit hold, region wise A/R, Overdues ageing, setting monthly collection targets, Receivable Days to improve the quality of A/R.
- Sales and Profits variance Analysis with current period vs Business Plan/Forecast/previous year
- Standard Costing with Variation Analysis on Overhead Rates, Capacity Utilization, Efficiency, etc.
- Review and enhance the operational policies and procedures to ensure proper controls have been in place
- Liaison and coordinate with financial & relevant function personnel in related organization to improve the finance processes and information quality.
- Ensuring compliance to SKF Group Accounting, Reporting & Auditing policies and procedures.
- Business Unit performance monitoring, Product pricing & Profit Planning, Financial evaluation of - New Investments / Projects, New Business Opportunities, Cost Reduction / Cost savings proposals
- Support and actively work on the financial integration of Operational Units which will be transferred under SKF Seals responsibility

- University degree in Commerce and I.C.W.A.I, or equivalent degree in Professional Accounting / Management Qualification OR MBA in Finance with experience in Controlling
- 6-13 years professional experience is a plus out of which last 5 years spent in operational Controlling (manufacturing / sales unit controlling).
