Data Analyst & Power BI Developer  
- Automotive Business

 
In this role, you will step into a key position within the Global Procurement & Supply Chain “Engineering & Data” team of a newly formed, truly international company, where your insights and ideas will directly support business decisions. 

You will have the opportunity to deeply explore and shape the end-to-end Supply Chain, transforming complex data into clear, compelling Power BI solutions that enable smarter choices and real performance improvements across capital, cost, and service. Working closely with a diverse global network, you will continuously develop and evolve data-driven solutions that support SKF Automotive’s journey towards becoming a fully data-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports together with business colleagues for end-to-end Supply Chain processes and data transparency 

  • Build and manage semantic models using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric  

  • Perform data transformation using Power Query and Fabric Dataflows Gen2  

  • Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL, cloud data sources, APIs, files, etc.)  

  • Detect Supply Chain inefficiencies using data and reports, and make them visible to business colleagues 

  • Publish, schedule, and monitor reports and pipelines  

  • Ensure data quality, governance, and best practices in reporting 

  • Being the owner of Power BI workspaces like Supply Chain, International Trade, Logistics, Global Transportation, etc., within our team 

  • Run alignment meetings with business stakeholders to improve data products for better decision-making 


We expect you to have 

  • Good understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes, from procurement of material to delivering products to our final customers 

  • Experience working with Supply Chain process data and master data 

  • Solid understanding of IT systems and modern data architectures, including Data Warehouse environments (OIDW, MDW, SDW) and Lakehouse concepts 

  • Proficient in Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service, including data modelling (star schema, semantic models) 

  • Strong SQL skills (queries, joins, performance tuning) 

  • Experience with SAP is a strong plus 

  • Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration, preferably in an agile environment 

  • Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written), with solid analytical capability

Some additional information 
The position is based at one of SKF Automotive’s major global locations. Preferred locations for this role are: 

  • Pune or Bangalore, (India) 

  • Tudela, (Spain) 

  • Airasca, (Italy) 


We offer a flexible hybrid working model, allowing you to work from home a few days per week while spending the remaining days at the office. As employment is offered on a local contract, candidates must live within commuting distance of the relevant SKF Automotive site and be able to be on-site several days per week. 

For this position, we are exclusively considering candidates who are already based in one of the listed locations. Please note that relocation, work permits, or visa sponsorship are not approved for this role, and we are therefore looking for candidates who are citizens or legally resident in the respective country. 

You will report to Peter Schmid, Automotive Supply Chain Engineering & Data Manager, who is located in Steyr, Austria.
