JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title:      Deputy Manager EXIM

Reports To:          General Manager-Demand and Logistics Management

Role Type:           Team Handling

Location:              Pune

Purpose of the role:

Manage daily Import , Export operations - including import /export tracking ,custom clearance , transport activities ,handling customs query from customs , using co-ordination , follow-up & well integrated networks that provide best in class service’s at optimum price levels in compliant & ethical manner.

Responsibilities

• Review & standardize CHA & Freight Forwarding operations from time to time 
• To coordinate & preserve for all EXIM & compliance documentation
• Should know about EXIM Compliance’s . Able to review , answer & close EXIM notices from Customs & DGFT in a compliant & ethical manner with proper documentation
• Co-ordination with customer Service , FF , CHA, SCM team , Logistics Unit & Shipping units for Material & shipping Status
• Knowledge of all applicable EXIM Benefits , process of application, tracking, closure & ensure internal communication
• Ensure All data work relating to obtaining licenses like EPCG from DGFT  & closure of  EPCG & Knowledge of Documentation for SVB Bond/Order Renewal
• Ensure Submission of Export documents to Finance / Sales /GST/oversees shipping unit  i.e  Before( Pre Documentation) & After Export (Post Documentation)
• Liaising with Customs ,DGFT ,GST Authorities whenever required
• Able to handle local & Foreign LC & Preparation of Container De-Stuffing Bond /High Seas Purchase documents etc.
• Finalizing adhoc rates of import /export & support for rate contract with CHA on the basis of RFQ
• Performance monitoring for suppliers including CHA & FF for  Import Clerance Lead Time & damage free & on time delivery
• Knowledge needed about Import Export Policies , annual compliances such as EPCG, AEO
• Knowledge needed for FTP , HSN , bonded warehouse , SEZ , FTWZ
• Should know about Insurance claim process for damage ,short deliveries
• Should be able to Identify cost saving avenues in logistics function
• Required to Support domestic transportation in critical situations 

Metrics:

• Managing the OTIF Performance at 99.5%
• Optimizing Logistics Cost as a % of sales
• Optimizing the Logistics Lead time across the full value chain
• Developing Partner performance evaluation framework and Engagement philosophy

Education & Experience

• Minimum of 10-12 years relevant experience in logistics & EXIM operations planning & Execution
• Master’s degree in Business, supply chain or statistics, MBA Preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in logistics, transportation EXIM & customs Operations.
• Knowledge of TMS/EXIM/Fleet management software will be added advantage
• Vendor relationship management,  Remote work management of high performing multiple Service  partners
• This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and Stakeholder management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
• Good facilitation & collaboration skills are required.
