Digital Service Manager Logistics & Transport Management
- Automotive Business

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of digital transport and logistics execution?

In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence how a global automotive business transforms its transportation and logistics execution through cutting-edge technology. We give you the chance to work with SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM), ensuring solutions are reliable, scalable, and ready for the future.

You will design and maintain an integrated system landscape that connects transportation execution with logistics, warehousing, finance, and external carrier networks, enabling seamless data flow and end-to-end visibility.

Here you will collaborate with global teams and partners, leading initiatives that deliver real impact and align with business priorities. Along the way, you will deepen your expertise in transportation processes, digital logistics, and IT architecture within a dynamic international environment.

If you want to grow, take ownership, and be part of building a future-ready logistics organization, this is the role for you. Join us and help shape the future of motion.

What you can expect in the role:

  • Solution Ownership: Act as the application owner for SAP TM (covering transportation planning, execution, freight order management, and charge management). Ensure system performance, data integrity, and sustainability. Manage lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patching, and enhancements.
  • System Architecture & Integration: Design and maintain an integrated landscape connecting SAP TM with SAP S/4HANA, EWM, and external carrier systems. Ensure seamless data flow across logistics execution, warehousing, and settlement processes.
  • Transportation & Logistics Process Enablement: Support transportation planning, carrier selection, freight execution, and settlement processes through IT solutions. Optimize master data, transportation lanes, and execution rules in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Defend the Core: Protect standard SAP TM solutions by minimizing custom developments and ensuring changes are justified by clear business value, compliance, or regulatory needs.
  • Service Management: Ensure stable and reliable SAP TM operations by overseeing incident, problem, and change management processes, leveraging ServiceNow and ITIL-based practices.
  • Supplier Management: Manage external vendors and implementation partners, including contract governance, performance monitoring, delivery quality, and cost control for SAP TM services.
  • Innovation & Digital Roadmap: Lead initiatives in logistics automation, carrier connectivity, and digital freight documents. Drive the digital transformation roadmap for transportation systems with a focus on standardization and scalability.
  • Project & Budget Leadership: Manage SAP TM implementation and enhancement projects, coordinating with global teams and vendors. Plan and control budgets related to TM services, ensuring cost efficiency and value delivery.
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Exhibit strong problem-solving skills, proactively addressing challenges and adapting to a changing logistics and IT landscape. Show flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic IT landscape, responding to changing business needs and technological advancements.

This is a practical role focused on delivering results and ensuring progress for the Service. While you will guide and coordinate work across teams, the position does not include direct personnel management or team development responsibilities.

You will enjoy working here if you have:

  • A relevant academic background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
  • Proven experience working with SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) in global or regional implementations.
  • Strong understanding of transportation execution, freight order management, freight settlement, and carrier communication processes.
  • Solid knowledge of logistics integration, particularly between SAP TM, SAP S/4HANA, and warehouse systems.
  • Knowledge of satellite logistics applications such as CCL (Combined Carrier Label) is an advantage.
  • Experience in system architecture, integration flows, and process design in manufacturing or logistics environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to issue resolution.
  • Experience managing cross-functional IT projects and coordinating with global teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
