Are you passionate about digital transformation and eager to make a meaningful impact in the automotive industry? Join our innovative Data, AI, and Integration team as a Digital Solution Manager MDM Toolchain.

This core IT position is responsible for the strategic oversight and management of IT systems and applications within the Master Data Management domain, focusing in particular on SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) as a central component.

Master Data Governance (MDG) is a tool that ensures the consistency, accuracy, and accountability of an organization's master data. It plays a crucial role in maintaining data quality and supporting business processes by providing a centralized framework for managing and governing master data across various systems and applications.

In this role, you will leverage and manage the lifecycle of MDM tools to ensure that data is effectively governed, integrated, and aligned with business objectives, driving continuous improvement and supporting decision-making processes. This role also involves collaborating closely with various stakeholders and other roles within the MDM ecosystem, such as process & information owners or data stewards across SKF Automotive.

Key Responsibilities

Application Ownership:

  • Manage the lifecycle of MDM applications, including deployment, maintenance, and upgrades, ensuring they meet user needs and organizational goals.
  • Oversee the integration of various systems and applications (e.g., ProdMast, Codemaster, and other enterprise systems like ERP, CRM, etc.), ensuring seamless master data flow and interoperability.
  • Manage budget, resource allocation, and ensure that system-related projects are in line with strategic priorities.
  • Vendor Management (in close collaboration with SAP CoE), alignment with SAP Platform Roadmap.


Solution Architecture:

  • Design, optimise and implement robust system architectures that align with business requirements, strategic objectives, and technical standards.
  • Analyze and manage data structures to support business intelligence and reporting needs, while ensuring data integrity and accessibility for decision-making.
  • Discover and implement automation for routine tasks like data validation and cleansing, leverage AI/ML for enhanced data quality control and remediation
  • Influence data model and architectural designs across different domains to promote standardization of (reference and master) data (models / definitions) and processes, and act as an enterprise advocate for strong standard enforcement leading to minimal application customizing


Governance & Compliance:

  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and user satisfaction metrics, identifying areas for improvement (plus conversion into solution enhancement and toolchain roadmap
  • Training & Enablement Plans for User Community, continuous learning ... Provide comprehensive training sessions (train-the-trainer) and resources.
  • Collaboration / Distance to MDM Coordination Role ... to develop and continuously improve MDM operations.

 
We expect you to have

  • Several years of experience in business processes and application management.
  • Proficiency in requirements management (e.g. IREB standards, focus on modeling & documentation)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with SAP MDG and related modules supporting master and reference data management and SAP Data Migration
  • Prod Mast (and other satellites) is an advantage
  • Codemaster / Inorigo
  • Familiar with API / Integration concepts and development patterns
  • Project Management, Product Management, Communication Skills ...
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Some additional information 
This role can be based at any of our Automotive sites in Brazil, Poland, or India.

Employment will be on a local contract and will also require the ability to travel.

For this position, we are considering only candidates who are already based in one of the listed locations.

You will report to the Head of Data Architecture, located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
