Job Description

 

Job Title:            Finance MDM Administrator

Reports to:        Global Finance MDM Manager

Role type:          Individual Contributor

Location:            Pune / Bangalore

 

Role Overview: Operational expertise and support for finance applications and their master data within the region.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

 

Maintenance of Master Data:

    • MDM Maintenance: Execute and maintain data in Master Data Management (MDM) platform SAP MDG, in the Finance & Accounting systems (E.g. SARA, SAP...)
    • Data Governance: Implement data policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with internal guidelines for finance objects
    • Data Quality Management: Define, monitor, and enforce data quality metrics (completeness, consistency, accuracy) to ensure data is trustworthy.
    • Issue Resolution: Investigate, fix, and perform root cause analysis on data anomalies.
    • Collaboration: Act as a bridge between technical teams (IT) and business units to ensure data meets operational needs
  • Project Participation: Participate in implementation projects for new organizations, processes, and systems.
  • Roll-out Support: Assist in new releases through testing, evaluation, and modifying local procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with process managers to perform evaluations that improve business operations.
  • Audit Support: Provide support for SICS and master data audits
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to spreading knowledge regarding standardized processes and maintain contact with the global Finance Academy.

 

Experience Requirements

  • Education: 3–5 years of university studies within Computer Science, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • Technical Background: 2+ years of hands-on experience with SKF Common Financial Systems or SAP MDG platforms.

 

Competency Profile

  • Process Knowledge: Understanding of finance processes, development, and improvement.
  • Technical Depth: Deep understanding of financial applications used by SKF.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and PC skills (specifically Microsoft Excel).
  • Mindset: Continuous improvement mindset and a service-oriented approach.
  • Communication: Excellent communication, extended networking, and teaming skills.

 

Role Success Criteria

  • Implementation: Drive the implementation of best practices and identify improvement areas within the region.
  • Standardization: Drive process harmonization and standardization while securing the content of service delivery.
  • Proactivity: Proactively support Finance Operations by keeping systems and tools up to date.
