Job Title:         Logistics and Purchase Controller – India and South-East Asia

Reports To:      Operations Controller – India and South-East Asia

Location:         Pune

  • Key purpose of the job

A Supply Chain Finance role leading the Controlling & Reporting activities to support financial planning, analysis and decision-making across India and South-East Asia Operations for SKF India (Industrial). This role bridges finance and operations, ensuring that supply chain activities align with business objectives and deliver cost efficiency for Logistics, Purchase and Demand Chain (L&DC) for Domestic and Imported manufactured Products.

  •  Profile of the job holder/key requirements
  • CA / CA- Inter / ICWA / MBA in Finance with 7 to 10 years of post-qualification experience. Diploma in Inventory and Warehouse management; Supply Chain Finance; Data Analytics would be an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in Financial Planning and Global reporting
  • Strong working experience on MS Office and good understanding of finance systems (mainly SAP ERP)
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong collaboration with stakeholders across Cross Functional Teams
  • Ability to independently handle / manage day-to-day tasks
  • Key Responsibilities

An individual contributor role to manage day-to-day Controlling and Reporting Responsibilities of all Logistics, Purchase & Demand Chain activities in line with India and Corporate (Group) requirements.

Controlling Responsibilities

  • Partner with L&DC, Purchase and Operations teams to provide financial insights and recommendations
  • Responsible for driving cost efficiency and cost savings projects within L&DC environment.
  • Monitor inventory, logistics and procurement expenses to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Provide clear insights into various cost drivers and continuously monitor to ensure overall cost is minimized.
  • Develop and maintain cost models, budgets and forecasts for L&DC units and work with various stakeholders to minimize costs
  • Develop an accurate cost re-charge mechanism to various business units
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and internal controls
  • Controlling Governance - Respond to queries from Group and other stakeholders and provide timely and accurate information
  • Cost Project Validation & Controls - Streamline activities and work on improvement projects in line with required KPIs

 

Accounting and Reporting Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting - Lead the month-end activities related to financial reviews, accruals and data submission to Finance Accounting teams.
  • Data Analysis and Expense Validation - Responsible for driving data validation, timely processing of all Expenses /Purchase requisitions
  • Cost Bucketing and Apportionment - Timely and accurate allocation of all costs; Share information to all stakeholders within Business units and factories
  • Periodic Reporting - Update specified modules in SKF systems, both monthly and periodic modules as per the India and Group timelines
  • MIS Ownership - Support the L&DC and Purchase teams including Factory warehouses/DCs, in all necessary activities and provide related data as required from time to time
