JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

POSITION:          Sales Support & Pricing Analyst

DIVISON:            Automotive India

Location:            Pune

 

  1. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Main focus of the position is the management of profitable development for business for Automotive OEM applications. It is about products like HBU1 , Automotive Special products as well as all transactional products like DGBBs, TRBs, CRBs, NRBs and others.

Overall scope of the position is to drive the Business Development Portfolio Management team in the handling of BO’s and RFQ process with a proactive and deeper involvement in several pre- and post-sales activities.

  • Management of the Business Opportunities and related RFQ Process for opportunities with Automotive OE customers
  • Support execution of Strategy Plan of Product Line (for ex. 2W , Powertrain, Steering & Suspension etc. (with the support of the rest of the Automotive organization)
  • Lead Risk analysis of Business Opportunities
  • Coordinate the cost estimation during quotation phase and Management of the Cost Analysis process for the related products.
  • Support Business Case creation, value proposition and cost/ price analysis on NMO projects.
  • Support to decisions for investments in new manufacturing capacity
  • Interface as Customer Project Management in the ETO process before BG B and then carry support to CPM after BG B approval.
  • Support to Automotive Sales in the analysis and execution of plans to recover profitability of the products in the OE portfolio
  • Support to Engineering and Integrated Cost Reduction (ICR) for the identification of benchmarking candidates, targets.

The position belongs to the Automotive India and reports to the Head - CV Wheel End Product Line, India & SEA

 

  1. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION / CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • The handling of the Business Opportunities and the profitability monitoring is done by the business development team, with a constant role of support and control from the position holder
  • Technical proficiency in Product Engineering and Manufacturing Processes is highly desirable. Additionally, a strong understanding of the Automotive OE sector and the current competitive landscape will be considered a significant advantage.
  • The position is characterized by a high degree of entrepreneurship and leadership, good financial knowledge, experience in the automotive market, good networking within SKF
  • Graduate in engineering, 4+ years of experience. MBA will be an advantage.

 

 

  1. DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITIES
  • Regular review of the BOs Portfolio, including customer platform analysis, product selection in agreement with Sales and Engineering, analysis of the target cost to be achieved, coordination of the cost analysis with Manufacturing and Purchasing, preparation of the economic offer including profitability analysis.
  • Regular review of the BOs Portfolio for transactional products: lead the decision process across the organizations to ensure the full commitment from all parties in pursuing the business opportunities.
  • Review of the profitability targets with Manufacturing and Purchasing
  • Definition of cost reduction target with ICR team and relative implementation plan in the different factories.
  • Support implementation of the Product Roadmap with reference to concerned NMOs, including: contribution to identification of the market needs and elaboration of the technology roadmap, definition (together with Engineering) of the development activities and related time plan, cost and profitability analysis, Value analysis, definition of the launch strategy, after-launch follow-up with sales, identification of the necessary corrective actions.
