Position Title: Solution Owner SQE
Reports To: Manager Digitalization
Role Type: Individual Contributor
Location: Pune
Purpose of the role
We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our SQE Digital team within the Center of Excellence. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating and supporting the implementation of innovative digital solutions for Sustainability, Quality, and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety).
As a core team member, you will contribute to various projects and deployment initiatives, working across diverse functions within SKF—from Design & Engineering and Sales to Demand Chain & Logistics, Manufacturing, and Purchasing. Developing a solid cross-domain understanding of these business areas will be essential to your success.
You will support global SKF teams in both current operations and the evolution of future digital processes and IT systems, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives across the organization.
As a valued member of the SQE Digital Solutions team, you will:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist technical advice and support on all aspects of Tool assembly, change over, spare management, design, manufacturing and estimating.
- Manage Ideas and Demand: Capture, screen, and prioritize incoming ideas and solution demands to support strategic decision-making.
- Administer User Access: Oversee user access and permissions for key systems such as Intelex, Relyence, and Any4M via ServiceNow Access Management.
- Coordinate System Releases: Plan and manage release cycles for digital solutions, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption.
- Maintain System Administration: Handle configuration of user groups and maintain master data to ensure integrity and consistency across platforms.
- Oversee Reports and Dashboards: Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Manage Archived Systems: Ensure the continued accessibility and governance of archived digital systems.
- Provide Support: Act as a second-line support contact for SKF users, managing escalations that go beyond standard ServiceNow assistance and liaising directly with IT vendors when needed.

- Understanding Business Processes: Gain insights into functional business requirements and operational workflows across diverse domains.
- Platform Configuration & Implementation: Learn how to design and implement new processes within global digital platforms like Intelex.
- Technical Foundations: Build a solid background in digital concepts such as master data structures and workflow automation.
- Process Modeling & Documentation: Explore methods for visualizing, managing, and documenting business processes.
- Data Handling: Strengthen skills in data modeling, management, import/export processes, and data transformation.
- ETL & MDM Practices: Develop knowledge of Extract-Transform-Load strategies and Master Data Management frameworks.
- Systems Integration: Understand API functionality and other data connection mechanisms to support seamless system interactions.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with familiarity in the following SKF processes and systems will be at an advantage:
- Business Process Understanding:
- Solid grasp of business requirements and operational workflows across multiple domains (Design, Engineering, Sales, Logistics, Manufacturing, Purchasing).
- Skills in visualizing, managing, and documenting business processes.
- Examples of key Business processes in SQE domains: Audits Management, Incident Management (EHS), Customer Complaints, Vendor Complaints, Problem Solving and Corrective & Preventive Actions, PPAP, Risk Management & Core Documents, Change Management (ECM).
- Intelex Platform Experience: Hands-on experience configuring or using Intelex modules, especially for Sustainability, Quality, and EHS.
- Lotus Notes Databases: Especially legacy databases related to Quality and Environment, Health & Safety.
- Microsoft 365 Tools including:
- SharePoint for document management and collaboration
- Power BI for data analysis and interactive reporting
- Teams for team communication and meetings
- Word & Excel & PowerPoint for documentation and data processing tasks.
