Packaging Coordinator
- Automotive Business 


You will manage packaging logistics to support and safeguard smooth operations between our factories and warehouses, between Final Customers and SKF.

Key responsibilities   

  • Based on the production schedule from the Supply Chain department or orders from the Sales department, you will analyze and interpret demand to quantify the plant’s needs and organize the distribution.  

  • Anticipate discrepancies to avoid complaints: check recorded orders   

  • Place and validate orders of packaging materials in the IT system.  

  • Perform inventories: count and verify consistency with figures available in digital tools, investigate discrepancies.  

  • Manage invoice allocations, prepare and issue documents   

  • Monitor stock levels of packaging materials and procure replacement if needed.  

  • Respond to auditors (client or group).  

  • Coordinate stock transfers to supply different locations in EMEA region.  

  • Coordinate subcontracted return transport of reusable packaging: receive the request, redirect if necessary, and connect the client with the carrier.  

  • Supervise sorting and quality control of reusable packaging according to quality criteria.  

  • Provide operational knowledge for projects related to their field, in collaboration with the line manager and project leaders.  


Requirements   

  • Relevant academic background, completed training in the area, or equivalent work experience for the position.    

  • Have solid knowledge of inventory management, such as quantities, lead times, and costs.  

  • Proficiency in MS Office, including advanced Excel.   

  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, as the role involves working in an international team.
  • Good command of the French language, with the ability to communicate with customers and coworkers.

Some additional information
This position is located at any of SKF Automotive's main manufacturing sites in EMEA: Saint-Cyr (France), Schweinfurth (Germany) or Tongeren (Belgium).
Employment will be on a local contract, and therefore, you need to live in the region and be able to commute to our site several times per week.

You will report to Ornella Gouyon, Transportation & Packaging EMEA Manager, who is located in Saint-Cyr, France.
