Product Compliance Specialist Vehicle Aftermarket - Automotive Business

In this context, the ability to handle customer requests for evidence of our products’ compliance and to demonstrate our sustainability commitment across regions is increasingly critical. This role will play a key part in that journey, acting as a central enabler in ensuring that VA delivers trusted, compliant, and sustainable products to our customers worldwide. You will be at the heart of coordinating efforts across the organization, regions, and the full supply chain, making a tangible impact on how we operate today and evolve for the future.
Key responsibilities
- Complete Product Material Compliance investigation operationally in the Business Unit Vehicle Aftermarket. Establish and maintain full Product Material Compliance mapping of the product portfolio for material regulations like EU REACH, EU POP, EU RoHS, TSCA and others
- Collect, review, approve and maintain material and substance information from internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Update and maintain Product Material Compliance databases such as IMDS and EnvComp for VA and any potential database/tool in the future
- Coordinate and support VA sales in the handling of customer material compliance requests.
- Coordinate and communicate technical requirements relating to Product Material Compliance with VA Engineering and Product Development
- Coordinate with VA Purchasing to ensure suppliers receive Product Material compliance standards/requirements/checklists.
- Support and coordinate Product Material Compliance training for relevant internal organizations such as Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, & Management as needed.
- Assist in identifying potential compliance risks related to materials and substances and escalate findings to Group PMC and IMDS Manager
- Support Group in continuous improvement of the Product Material Compliance management processes, standards and directives and implement these within the VA business unit.
- Support Group in any future tools for PMC digitalization
- Stay informed about changes in material regulations and customer requirements with guidance and training provided by the Group PMC and IMDS Manager
- Coordinate and align PMC KPIs and targets for VA with the Group and ensure those targets are met
- Support other related sustainability topics/projects
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or related field or significative experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing or Quality
- An ability to understand legal requirements and their applicability, specifically in relation to articles (tariff code, components, finished products).
- Project management and good communication skills to coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, while managing stakeholder expectations.
- Experience in working in the Full Value Chain including both manufacturing and transactional environments is a plus
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
