Customer Service - Logistics Control Tower EMEA
Automotive Business

Key responsibilities

Manage order processing and delivery call-offs, including handling customer enquiries and complaints, tracking deadlines, and preparing all required shipping documents (e.g., invoices, ABDs, ASN).

Coordinate operational activities with third-party logistics providers (3PL), including order releases.

Register shipments in automotive customer portals.

Ensure timely and accurate deliveries for both internal and external SKF customers, covering inbound, outbound, and hub transshipment areas.

Organise and oversee special transport processes for customer deliveries.

Handle export customs formalities and ensure compliance.

Maintain effective information flow between stakeholders (e.g., factory, sales) and align on customer-specific requirements.

Coordinate with freight forwarders on load-specific details such as volumes, weights, capacities, and customer requirements.

Support additional tasks such as managing external logistics customers, third-country shipments, quality audits, transport damage cases, and time-limited projects.

Assist in creating reports and statistics (e.g., customer service) and document quality deviations.

Review and process freight invoices, as well as prepare debit and credit notes.
Requirements

Previous experience in a similar administrative or logistics role, or completed training within the area.

Understanding of logistics processes, including truck dispatching, customer service, and export customs clearance.

Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other IT systems.

Confident command of English, both spoken and written; additional languages are a plus.

Team-oriented mindset and flexibility, including willingness to adapt to varying working hours when needed.

Decisive, independent, and structured approach with a high sense of responsibility.

Knowledge of various order management systems is an advantage (especially ICSS, DOH, SAP).

Openness to change in general and to system/process adaptations in particular.
