Project Manager 

Location: St. Louis, MO 

Reports to: Global Offer Management  


As a Project Manager you will: 

  • Manage assigned projects of high complexity and/or importance for SKF Lubrication Management throughout all project phases from project planning, execution and follow-up ensuring delivery in line with expected goals. 
  • Actively support development of best practices, tools, and processes for Project Management to reduce project lead-time and increase efficiency within SKF. 
  • Act as a role model for good project management in the assigned projects. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate the definition of the project together with the sponsor. 

  • Lead the structuring and planning of the project. 

  • Lead the project execution including progress monitoring and reporting, quality assurance and risk management, and communication with key stakeholders. 

  • Lead the implementation, planning and provide initial implementation support to secure successful project handover. 

  • Build, coordinate and guide the project team. 

  • Manage the project budget on behalf of the senior stakeholder. 

  • Assure project coherence with SKF policies, processes, and standards e.g., Code of Conduct, EHS, QMS, GPMZ 

  • Implement project management best practices and behaviors in the projects and act as a role model. 

  • Act as a coach and quality support to other Project Managers running projects in the LM. 

  • Actively support development of best practices, tools, and processes for Project Management within the LM.

Requirements and Prior Experience:  

  • Degree in engineering/business administration 

  • Excellent project management skills and experience 

  • Knowledge of project management methods of processes e.g., GPM2, NMO/NCO, PPD, DfSS, Scrum 

  • Excellent in networking and working across functions and regions.  

  • Ability to manage cultural diversity and work in a global environment. 

  • Strong business focus and business process understanding 

  • Excellent in communication and strong in facilitation 

  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
