We are strengthening our global ceramic laboratory team in Steyr, Austria:
Materials Engineer – Global Ceramic Laboratory (m/f/d)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assessment & qualification of new / alternative ceramic materials, visual inspection and failure analysis of ceramic components
- Implementation of new mechanical testing techniques for ceramic materials
- Support local and global technology development projects in the field of hybrid bearings
- Distribute competence of established ceramic component inspection methods and support the development of complementary / automated inspection technologies
YOUR PROFILE:
- University degree (preferably Materials Science) with knowhow in ceramic materials technology (material properties, microstructure, sintering, grinding, etc.)
- Excellent command of English & willingness to work in international teams
- Ability to travel, open communicator, team player
- Self-structured and target-oriented working attitude
- Quality knowledge and interest in project management are advantageous
- Industrial experience and computer skills are advantageous
