Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing leadership and support on assigned programs and projects

ensuring that the Company’s products are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications and Company quality requirements.  Serves as a liaison between customers, vendors, and the factory on quality related issues, in support of company goal and objectives.

 

The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in strengthening SKF’s commitment to world class product performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. This position provides comprehensive quality engineering support across our full portfolio of bearings and complementary product lines, ensuring robust manufacturing processes, effective problem resolution, and continuous improvement throughout the value chain.

 

This role is essential in enabling SKF to maintain its leadership in reliability and innovation by delivering deep technical expertise, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring seamless quality alignment between customers and internal stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage performance and conformance related customer complaints in alignment with established quality procedures, applying strong analytical and problem solving methodologies to drive corrective actions and resolution.
  • Own and monitor Complaint Management KPIs for respective responsibility area, ensuring visibility, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead complaint reduction initiatives across responsibility area, utilizing data driven insights to identify systemic issues and implement preventive actions.
  • Oversee product and process containment activities, ensuring timely execution of corrective and improvement action plans.
  • Lead, coach, and support Cost of Non-Quality (CoNQ) projects with the factory to achieve defined targets and reduce waste.
  • Drive effective Quality Management System (QMS) governance across regional factories to maintain compliance, audit readiness, and operational discipline.
  • Facilitate training programs for factory teams to strengthen quality competencies and reinforce key quality initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance digital dashboards to support real time monitoring of quality initiatives across the responsibility area
  • Coordinate effectively with dotted line quality resources across factories and operations team to ensure alignment, collaboration, and consistent execution of regional quality strategies.

 

Customer / Stakeholder Engagement 

This role is essential in enabling SKF to maintain its leadership in reliability and innovation by delivering deep technical expertise, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring seamless quality alignment between customers and internal stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or higher equivalent, quality or engineering degree.
  • 3-10 years of experience in an industrial environment working with OEM and Tier 1 customers.
  • Proven track record of proactive and continuous improvements within area of responsibility.
  • Customer focused, self-reliant, structured and analytical problem solver with strong personal drive and commitment.
  • Previous experience with bearings would be appreciated.
