Transport & Logistics Customer Service Operations -
Automotive Business
You will be part of logistic control tower area including transports operations & customers services activities.
For transport operations you will be responsible for planning and organizing all transport activities within SKF Logistics Services Belgium NV, serving as the central link between Warehouse Operations, Planning, the Hub, Customer Services, other SKF units, the Control Tower Transport, and external carriers. The role focuses on meeting productivity and service‑level KPIs while supporting Customer Services with transport issues or arranging shipments outside the central network, using solutions such as part loads, taxis, express deliveries, or returns. It also involves building market knowledge to establish clear guidelines for non‑standard transport options, helping Customer Services operate efficiently.
For customer service operations you will be the main contact with Sales organization over the world taking care about orders to ensure proper processing, order preparation and delivery as requested by customers. Responsible for providing support and responding to questions/requests from sales unit organization.

Key responsibilities
Planning & Coordination
- Prepare planning for road and ocean flows based on existing and expected volumes and available transport capacity.
- Plan WHS/HUB/WEC B1 activities to meet required customer service levels.
- Perform all administrative tasks related to planning.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Communicate planning information and changes to transport companies, all internal operational departments of SKF Logistics Services Belgium NV, other SKF Logistics Services units, and CTT.
- Communicate special days, holidays and bridge days, as well as transport planning, to the WH Manager and Hub Supervisors.
Operational Decisions & Alternative Solutions
- Decide which shipments will not be transported in case of capacity issues and inform KAMs, Hub and WHS.
- Offer adapted and cost‑effective transport options to Customer Services and Business Development for specific orders, transport issues or capacity constraints (incl. administration and communication).
Monitoring, Reporting & Problem Solving
- Track and report transport performance (late arrivals/departures and fill rates) for DTS trucks and containers.
- Investigate, resolve and communicate transport issues, including responding to and creating DERs (hubs/shippers) and handling claims (air, ocean and hub‑related).
- Review loading/unloading reports, follow up on and document transport‑related QEs, and perform CO₂ reporting for FTC, shuttles and taxis.
Systems, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Set up new TMCs, trips and file routings in WASS and inform the SKF organization.
- Provide short- and long‑term solutions for issues related to WASS setup or planning.
- Maintain strong SAP knowledge and ensure proper application.
Customer Service activities
- Processing orders and handling delivery orders/call-offs, customer enquiries, and complaints, including deadline tracking .
- Coordinating and ensuring deliveries with warehouse, transports operations and administration department in EDC according to customers requirements in terms of volumes, weights, capacity and documentation.
- Ensuring information flow to various stakeholders (factory, sales, etc.) and coordinating customer-specific requirements with sales.
- Supporting the creation of statistics (e.g., Custserv) and documenting quality deviations (DERs)
- Reviewing and accounting for freight invoices
- Creating debit notes and credit notes
- Organise special transports, ensure stakeholder alignment and support audits, damage cases, reporting, invoice processing.
We expect you to have
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or logistics role, or completed training within the area.
- Understanding of logistics processes, including truck dispatching, customer service, and administration tasks (invoicing, documents and export customs clearance).
- English required
- Knowledge of PC applications, logistics processes, transport market and legislation
- Knowledge of various order management systems is an advantage (especially ICSS, DOH, SAP).
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Customer‑oriented, with a customer‑first mindset focused on profitable growth
