Business Controlling Manager

SKF Aerospace is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry and much more. We design & manufacture complex, high performance, high-value bearings in steel and advanced ceramics. Our production group, technologies, & products are at the heart of aerospace industry.
 
The Aerospace Business Unit takes care of everything related to Aerospace applications. This includes Sales, Manufacturing, Business Development, and creating new products and processes.

As Business Controlling Manager, reporting to the Cluster Controller Aeroengine Europe & Balls Factories, you will act as a trusted business partner to factory management, driving financial performance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

•    Act as a finance business partner to Factory Management, providing KPIs and insights to drive performance. 
•    Drive profitability and asset efficiency through cost optimization, working capital improvement, and margin initiatives. 
•    Lead planning and budgeting, ensuring realistic targets supported by clear action plans and risk visibility. 
•    Monitor performance, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to meet or exceed targets. 
•    Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with SKF Internal Control policies. 
•    Own cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and month end closing. 
•    Support transformation, investments, new business quotations, and audits.
•    Manage and develop a small local controlling team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
•    Stay close to operations with a strong presence on the shop floor.

You will also support the Protoshop and Sales Unit in Valenciennes.

What we expect you to have/be
•    Demonstrated experience in business controlling within a manufacturing environment
•    Proactive, structured, and collaborative leadership style
•    Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
•    Strong analytical and business oriented mindset
•    Solid knowledge of standard cost accounting
•    Comfortable with ERP systems (M3 Movex is a plus) and MS Office
•    Fluent Professional English
•    An initial experience in leading a small team

Some additional information
This position will be located in Valenciennes – France - at the SKF Aerospace factory offices with a local contract.

You will report to the Cluster controller Aeroengine Europe and Balls Factories whose Manager is located in Villar Perosa (Italy), and you will have a dotted reporting line with the Factory Manager Valenciennes (France).
