SKF Aeroengine France, part of the SKF Aerospace Business Unit, has specialized in the manufacture of high-precision ball bearings or rollers since 1952. The Valenciennes site (700 employees), which is also a Centre of Excellence for heat treatment and roll manufacturing for the SKF Group, produces aero engine bearings, aero gearbox bearings and helicopter engine bearings and develops innovative solutions in the space and aeronautics sectors.
What you can expect in this role
Reporting to the Head of Aeroengine Operations Europe, you will drive and lead the factory management with focus on sustainable profitability, competitiveness and delivery performance aligned with the Aerospace goals and strategies.
In a context of broad autonomy and growth of our activities, your mission is based on the following activities:
• Deliver zero defect and high service level to Customers
• Develop and follow up daily, monthly and quarterly performance to ensure the achievement of the targets with focus on cost improvement and waste elimination
• Continue improvements, design flexible and efficient production process with high focus on Sustainability and NetZero target by 2030.
• Further develop process improvement activities and digitalization roadmap
• Ensure high teamwork with Sales, Business and Product Development to sustain profitable growth
• Ensure that all SKF requirements concerning Health & Safety, environmental and legal regulations are respected
• Follow, support, and implement the SKF local and Group policies
• Be a role model of a Purpose-driven culture with foundation on SKF Values, promoting Diversity Equity and Inclusion
• Motivate and develop leadership skills in all team members, create a learning culture thereby improving the competency level
• Create and support customer focus, team spirit, constructive work environment and ownership in the factory
You will be part of a local and global network of manufacturing facilities in and out of the Aerospace business, and will collaborate with the Country, Region, Business Area and Business Unit to enhance and refine our operational processes throughout the entire value chain.

• Proven track record of leading teams. Outstanding leadership capabilities to develop self, others and business. Ability to develop inspire empower and motivate team, ability to navigate complex scenarios and business
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, proven experience in deploying successfully Lean Manufacturing Methods/SKF Production system or Lean manufacturing techniques
• Commitment to maintain a safe working environment in line with SKF requirements concerning Health & Safety, environmental and legal regulations.
• Business and financial acumen and customer focus
• Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills
• French and English languages are both mandatory

Additional information
The SKF Aerospace Business Unit (3000 people worldwide at 7 sites) is responsible for the design, manufacture, product and process development as well as the commercial development of bearings and joints for engine, gearbox and aerostructures applications. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for an engine / airframe application and then produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of our Business Unit.
This position is located in Valenciennes, France and the position holder will report to the Head of Aeroengine Operations Europe located in Italy. You will evolve in an international environment, from clients to internal stakeholders so both French and English are mandatory.
