Key Account Manager

SKF Seals Automotive 

 

SKF Seals Italy Automotive BU is currently seeking two Key Account Managers to join the sales team in Villanova d’Asti, Italy.

Reporting to the Automotive Sales Manager EMEA, the KAMs will be responsible for managing and growing assigned customer accounts while also playing a leading role in developing new business opportunities across the EMEA region.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and develop assigned customers, ensuring trusting relationships and high satisfaction.
  • Coordinate customer strategy across pricing, revenue growth, profitability and program execution.
  • Be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with existing and potential customers.
  • Build, maintain and grow a robust pipeline of new prospects and strategic opportunities
  • Prepare and negotiate quotations and commercial offers
  • Ensure target profitability and alignment with business objectives set by BU
  • Manage commercial activities during the program development phase before SOP
  • Lead contract review process
  • Monitor running series business evolution, detecting deviation vs Project’s figures acting in accordance
  • Prepare accurate forecasts and business plan
  • Cross – functional collaboration with internal depts (i.e. engineering, product development, project management, Quality, finance) to support customer programs and growth initiatives.

 

 

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Economics
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure, following APQP/ETO phases is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of Automotive market and reference customers, OEMs and Tiers1 /Tiers2, as well as sales experience in the Automotive industry
  • Technical knowledge about product (seals) and related applications is a plus
  • Knowledge of bearing producers market is a plus
  • Proficient business sense, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to design and communicate compelling value propositions
  • Highly motivated and focused on delivering results;
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken; knowledge of a second language, as French or German, is a plus
  • Availability to travel

These positions will be based in Villanova D’Asti (Asti), on local contract. 

The position holders report to the Automotive Sales EMEA Manager, who is based in Villanova D’Asti (Asti).
