The railway segment has become the most significant one both globally and regionally in East Europe, where the train manufacture has a very long tradition, represented by leading OEM manufacturers. Full value chain is complemented by very thick network of component suppliers (gearboxes, wheelsets and traction motors), including well established private and public operators.
In order to grow our business and strenghten SKF position in all four relevant railway areas of OEM, aftermarket, passenger and freight, it is necessary to extend the railway team by another fully-dedicated
Key Account Manager Railway Industry
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategy, business plan and activities for Key Account customers in Poland in line with SKF strategy and vision,
- Drive and maintain a sound and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders (Territory Sales, Customer Experience, Distributors, Application Engineering, Global Key Account Managers etc.),
- Collect and analyze customer market development, future business and trends as well as competition,
- Improve customer experience and drive growth,
- Implement improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction,
- Share knowledge, learnings and success cases across the organization,
- Ensure that business strategy and activity plan is set for each Key Account and follow up execution,
- Negotiate corporate contracts and projects within Poland in coordination with local sales team and global Key Account Managers,
- Be a speaking partner for high level decision makers at major Key Account customers,
- Ensure effective sales process with Sales Excellence approach and efficient utilization and allocation of resources,
- Inspire and engage colleagues and customers and drive change.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in account or sales management in industrial segment,
- Knowledge & Experience in Railway Industry is an asset,
- Proven sales skills,
- Strategic & analytical thinking,
- Responsible and committed,
- Self-confident with strong communication and organizational skills,
- Purposeful action taker,
- Ability to cooperate internationally,
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of mechanical engineering, economics or similar fields or high-school graduates - in such case, a proven experience from railway industry is necessary (at least 3 years).
- Driving license B,
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (including MS Excel, Power BI),
- English B2 level.

Additional information:
- The position is based in Poland (possibility of working in offices in Warszawa, Katowice or Poznan or total remote HO), frequent travelling is required.
- The position reports to OEM Account Manager Czech Republic, Railway Industry Leader East Europe.
